About Course

Our Lord Jesus Christ never concealed from the multitudes that always followed and thronged Him for varied needs the terms, conditions, or costs of being His disciples. Jesus never enticed, wooed, manipulated, or lured anyone to be His disciples impulsively without him first knowing and counting the costs of his decision (Luke 14:28-33).

When a man impulsively volunteered to be Jesus’ disciple, saying, “Lord, I will follow You wherever You go,” rather than praising Him for his eagerness (Luke 9:57-58 NKJV).

The Lord Jesus would not allow or encourage anyone to be His disciple without first having the understanding of the sacrifices or challenges involved in being His disciple.

Moreover, the Lord Jesus never accepted anyone who volunteered to be His disciple on his own personal terms or conditions. It is either you accept to be a disciple on the Lord’s terms or remain among the multitudes.

To the man called to be the Lord’s disciple who was reluctant because he wanted to attend to other things first, saying, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father,” the Lord’s sharp rebuke was: “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the kingdom of God.”

Also to another who wanted to follow the Lord on his own term – after he has pleased himself and his household, saying, “Lord, I will follow You, but let me first go and bid them farewell who are at my house;” and the Lord responded in (Luke 9:59-62).
